MaxMobile, Another M1 BroadBand?

15 Sep

StarHub said MaxMobile will bring the world of broadband Internet closer to you wherever you go. With StarHub’s 3.5G network, MaxMobile will let you surf wirelessly and anywhere at download speeds of up to 7.2Mbps.

Three data plans being offered. Pay as you use for “MaxMobile Lite”. “MaxMobile Value” gives $20 free bundled data usage at monthly subscription of $5.35. Lastly the “MaxMobile Unlimited” that gives you unlimited data transfer that cost a flat fee of $72.76.

What the meaning of this “Unlimited”? Do we really can use it like we use on our MaxOnline? Bittorrent allowed?

One of StarHub’s “Terms and Conditions” is “Unlimited usage as part of MaxMobile Unlimited data plan is only applicable for local data charges”. What do this mean? Do we need to pay for surfing overseas websites???

With both M1 and Singtel has a 5GB and 10GB data limit respectively. I don’t believe StarHub can offer unlimited usage with that price.

I have been using MaxMobile Unlimited since it launched. I can do anything using my MaxMobile the same my MaxOnline. The unlimited really means unlimited. The term for local charges means if you use MaxMobile when you are overseas, it is chargeable but if you use it within Singapore, then it is a it said — unlimited.
