I bought the Epson Stylus CX5900 more than a year ago. As it can be use without a computer, I did not install it on my computer until the day when I need to use the scanner to scan my old school day’s pictures.
It was then that I found out that the printer do not come with the Windows Vista printer/scanner drivers. I did try using the drivers from their website, but is still can’t scan a picture and noted me of a connection problem. I did try to solve the problem but it still failed to scan. Lastly I install it on my spare Windows XP computer and the scanner works fine and I sure that it is not a cable or scanner problems.
After so much tests and switching on and off the printer, the display shown that the blue and the pink inks are empty! Damn, why must the printer clean up the nozzles every time I switch on the printer? Stupid engineers! If I were you, I would only clean the nozzles after a few days, not every time I switch on the printer. Since the two colours are empty, I can’t even use the black ink for printing now!
